Wells Lilly led the Chieftains with a 2nd place finish at the first league meet of the season at Palo Corona Regional Park. Lilly's time of 17:51 was his personal best, and second only to Pacific Collegiate's Spencer Koontz who ran 17:25. Quintin Ruelas placed 19th in a personal best time of 22:08. Matt Miranda placed 40th in 27:15, and Jose Avelar-Moreno completed his first race in 38:12.
